Training Information
DISCLAIMER : the U.S. Delegation Nijmegen March (USDNM) has no authority or expertise to direct marcher preparation. We therefore cannot be held liable for any injury or incident whatsoever. We intend the materials here to build a starting knowledge base to assist to assist marchers with their individual training plans and physical readiness. We offer recommendations only, albeit based on official references and our own personal and professional experiences.
General training tips.

No other training can replace marching (time on your feet = success)

Train as you would march the event. If you can't train in uniform replicate it the best you can. Wear the same boots, ruck, etc.

Nijmegen is not the time to try something new: food, supplements, foot care, boots etc.

Allied Command Counterintelligence has fielded a team since 2018. Over the years they have had only one Soldier drop out during the event. They have an ambitious training schedule but one that has been successful (see photo below).
